ODOR ABATEMENT
We Eliminate Odors, Big and Small!
COMMERCIAL OZONE GENERATORS
Say Goodbye to Odors,
We Don’t Just Mask Them
You can trust our highly trained and knowledgeable technicians to use the correct and most effective equipment and processes to eliminate odors. Virtually all methods that use surface chemicals only mask the odor, which usually returns. Surface chemicals are not effective in areas or on surfaces that cannot be reached. Most surface chemicals cannot, or should not, be applied to many areas or materials (many metals, carpets, clothing, wall paper, etc.).
Things to Consider When Using Ozone
High-Humidity Issues
Special care is required, if ozone procedures must be done in high humidity areas to prevent bleaching of fabrics and rusting of metals.
No Natural Rubber
Natural rubber items, mostly found in clothing & elastic, should be removed. Leather needs treatment before ozone exposure. Most appliances have little to no natural rubber—confirm with manufacturers if in doubt.
No Living Beings
People, pets and plants will not be allowed in the area being treated for 4-8 hours after treatment. Some people are very sensitive to ozone and will need to be out even longer.
How Does Ozone Work to Eliminate Odors?
As ozone is created it floats freely in the air and water. By nature, it is an unstable molecule and has a half-life of approximately 20 minutes. Shortly after ozone is created it begins to break back down. It will cast off the first ozone atom, which will recombine with either another oxygen atom, reverting back to simple Oxygen (O2), or it will recombine with another gaseous element forming an inert gas losing all of its odor characteristics. Picture a room full of smoke; it is the phenol gas that is released that is the basis of the odor. It is in the air and on the surface of all areas exposed to the smoke. When introduced to that environment, the ozone quickly breaks down as it combines with the phenol gas molecule destroying all odor characteristics.
